New General Licenses for Bird Control

Following the recent amendments to the licensing of the control of 'pest' birds there has been much speculation made in the press and on social media regarding the new rules and procedures. Along with many colleagues, we continue to monitor the situation carefully.

The first license, which covers the control of carion crows, can be downloaded from the Gun Trade Association website.

Natural England have produced a pamphlet which explains the use of lethal methods in context. It can be downloaded here.
